To Begin
Electricity Services:
- By switching on the circuit breaker and grounding
mechanism, electricity can be used.
- Fill out the post card which you can find near
the breaker and send it to the electricity company.
- The electrical frequency in Yamaguchi City is
60 hertz, and the voltage is 100volts.
- Electrical appliances which were brought into
Japan from outside are likely to be damaged because of different
electrical frequency, so please consult with an electronics store
about a matter of using them.
In Case of Blown Fuses:
If suddenly electricity goes off, check the breaker
to see if a fuse has been blown.@The breaker can usually be found
high on the outside of wall or inside of the entrance of the house
or apartment. If the breaker is down, switch it back up. Even
though trying these steps, electricity does not restore, please
contact the electric company.@When making a call, the customer
number will be required for a better service.

Charge for Electrical Usage:
- Once a month, on the designated day of reading
a meter, the inspector will check the usage of the electricity,
and the bill will be provided to the users.
- Electric usage of each month is determined by
subtracting usage of the previous month from usage of the current
month.
- Customer Number
- Type of electricity
- Amount of electricity used in the current month
- The estimated charge for current month
- The index of the meter for the previous and current
month
- Next date of reading a meter
- Adjustable fuel costs/When applying, adjustments
to the fuel costs for the current and next month are describe.
