●Alien Registration Card

• Any foreign nationals living in Japan more than 90 days are required to register as a foreign resident.
  
  
• In Yamaguchi City, application for an Alien Registration Card can be processed at the Citizens Division of the City Hall.
  .
• An application must be made only in person (If an applicant is under 16 years of age, parents can apply on behalf of their child ).　Any foreign nationals living in Japan for more than one year are required to sign their names.
  .
• Within 10-14 days after applying, an Alien Registration Card will be issued.　This card serves as identification; therefore, one should carry it all the time.

  ●Documents Required for the First Time Registration
  Passport
  Picture (H 4.5×W 3.5cm)
  ※a picture of upper body with not wearing a hat or cap

  ●Change of Status of Registration
  If any of the following things change, one must report and make a change on an Alien Registration Card within 14 days from the day you have made a change.

  ※When moving into Yamaguchi City from other city, one must report and make changes on the card at the City Hall.

●Lost or Stolen Card
If your Alien Registration Card is lost or stolen, you must report immediately to the police station ( call Yamaguchi Police Bureau: 924-0110, or go to a local police box ). In addition, replacement for a new card should be processed at the City Hall within 14 days from the day you lost it.
