Residents of Yamaguchi who are not Japanese citizens whose period of residency is less than one year are now eligible for the National Health Insurance plan starting Monday July 9, 2012.
Certificates of residency will be prepared for foreign residents (who will be staying in the country legally for more than three months and ho have a Japanese address), just as they are for Japanese citizens.

・Most hospitals and clinics are closed on weekday nights, weekends and national holidays. In case of an emergency, please contact the Emergency Medical Center or hospitals which will be open on that day. (listed below).
・A list of the doctors and hospitals on call each month can be found in the city newsletter issued on the every 15th. The list will be also printed in the Yamaguchi section of the major morning newspapers on every holidays or Sundays.
